Animal Migration - Navigation

In our class this morning we have been looking at the methods Animals use to Navigate during their migrations.

Methods include:

  • Visual Cues (Birds, Insect)
  • Solar Navigation (Bird, Bees)
  • Magnetic Fields (Homing pigeons, Cetaceans, Salmonids)
  • Stellar Navigation (Birds)
  • Chemical Navigation (Eels, Salmon)
  • Sound used as Sonar (Cetaceans)
